Dr. Ajay Kumar is a Specialist Psychiatrist at OPEN MINDS Centre. He has more than 7 years of experience as a Psychiatrist after the Post-Graduation. He completed his post-graduation from well-known Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi Pakistan as a Consultant Psychiatrist in 2018.

He is deeply committed to reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and advocating for better access to mental health care. Throughout his career in Pakistan & UAE, he has been exposed to people from a variety of socioeconomic, ethnic and religious backgrounds. He is experienced in managing mental health conditions using various pharmacological and psychological approaches.

He has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Sindh Government Children’s Hospital Karachi for 2 years. Later he worked as Senior Registrar of Psychiatry at Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences Karachi for more than 2 years. He has also served as a Consultant Psychiatrist in one of the leading hospitals, Aga Khan Hospital Karachi for 3 years.

Prior to joining Open Minds Centre, Dr. Ajay has worked in various healthcare organizations in Dubai. He has extensive experience in handling general adult cases, geriatric, adolescent and child guidance.
