Laura is a CDA-Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist from Colombia, with a Master’s in Clinical and Health Psychology. She has complemented her clinical training with research experience, participating in the Electrophysiology Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Szeged (Hungary), the Behavioral Neuroscience Laboratory, and the Clinical Psychology Laboratory in Colombia. Additionally, she has worked in hospitals and psychology centers, further strengthening her expertise in evidence-based practice.
She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and provides evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couple, family, and group settings.
Her expertise includes emotion regulation, anxiety-related problems, OCD, mood disturbances, behavioral challenges, and interpersonal difficulties. In couples therapy, she helps partners navigate communication difficulties, emotional regulation, problem-solving, values alignment, and other relationship concerns. She also conducts parent training to help manage behavioral challenges in children.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Laura has extensive experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and vulnerable populations. She has been involved in mental health initiatives aimed at improving psychological services for migrants.
